HD CLEANER (Tankclean, Degreaser HD)
EMULSIFYING CLEANING AGENT WITH A HIGH FLASH POINT FOR THE REMOVAL OF CRUDE OIL, BITUMEN, PARAFFIN AND SIMILAR SUBSTANCES BY CIRCULATION METHOD
* Emulsifying cleaning agent based on aromatic solvents, anionic and non-ionic surface active agents.

* Ideally suitable for the removal of crude oil, bitumen, paraffin and other high melting point stains.

Application
Heavily Contaminated Steam Boilers.
Scale in steam boilers where heavy oil contamination is present, will not easily be removed by acid cleaners. In such cases, HD Cleaner is used first to remove oil and grease before the acid cleaner is applied.
Tanks
HD Cleaner can be used to clean heavy oil, crude oil, bitumen, paraffin and other stains having a high melting point in which cases a high cleaning temperature is necessary.
Directions for use
Cleaning of steam boilers
Fill the system with a 5% solution of HD Cleaner in water. Allow this emulsion to circulate for 12 24 hours at a maximum temperature of 90o C. After this operation, drain the cleaning liquid and rinse the system intensively with water.
Cleaning of tanks
Prewash
Before cleaning with HD Cleaner, it is recommended to pre-wash with hot water at approximately 50°C. For drying and semi drying oils a pre-wash with cold water should be applied.
Recirculation method
HD Cleaner is added to a mixing tank containing a quantity of water which amounts to 1% of the capacity of the tank to be cleaned. The water is heated by means of the heating coils in the tanks.
The tanks are washed by means of a loading pump, after which the solution used is recycled to the mixing tank. One solution is most often used to wash 2 - 3 tanks.
HD Cleaner must be circulated as a 2 6% emulsion. Allow this emulsion to circulate for 2 - 6 hours at a temperature ranging from 50 - 90°C.
Properties
Light yellow colored aromatic liquid. Emulsifiable with water. Non-corrosive on common metal.
